Los Angeles, California
La La Land is my home beyond homes. It's the ideal place for a lady who gets severe winter blues. When I'm feeling depressed, I think about LA. Here's why. It's always warm, it's always sunny, and it's rarely humid. Styling your hair is relatively pointless in Toronto's humid summers. Other seasons are full of rain or snow, which make it equally pointless. Besides the perfect weather on a daily basis, granted you can handle the heat and earthquakes, it's essentially the perfect place. It's also the home of Rock N' Roll.
Los Angeles is full of fun shops, interesting places; some of which I still have yet to discover. The Museum Of Death is one of my personal favorites, visited twice. The owners even showed me a item that wasn't yet on display; a blanket quilted by the "Manson Girls", which included floral swastika designs, signed by Charles Manson himself. Another favorite is Necromance, a store of curiosities and oddities. I brought home some gypsy fortune telling cards, as well as a wrist cuff made of bones. You can also get anything from Absinthe-scented soap, to elaborate Taxidermy pieces.
I wandered from Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, over to Santa Monica and Venice Beach. The Santa Monica Bridge inspires a child-like wonder with it's famous Ferris-wheel, roller coaster, and carousel. Venice Beach is full of psychic tarot readers, "freakshows", and rollerbladers. Eye candy to the point of excess.
LA is full of variety and excess. If you're looking to have a good time, eat all kinds of ethnic food, drink Tequila, and experience Rock n' Roll history, Los Angeles is your town.

pARIS, fRANCE
The thing I liked about Paris the most, besides the romantic architecture and warm baguettes, is the fact that they use mayonnaise on their fries. This is a French custom I've adopted, and will never regret.
While I was teenager in Paris, and probably didn't appreciate it to the point I would now, I was secretly bewitched by the romanticism of the city. If you can get past the occasional rude waiter, it's a beautiful city that will take your breath away, and make you stumble home from too much wine.

Venice, Italy
The thing I remember most about Venice, Italy is riding through the canals. It almost seems like some kind of surreal dream when you're wandering through the thin waterways, and beautiful bright brick architecture.
Italian culture is truly beautiful, and the food is unlike anything you can experience in North America. Everything tastes fresh, and the people seem to have a firm grasp on the true meaning of life.
"Dolce far niente" – This Italian phrase translates as “the sweetness of doing nothing.”
